Located in the heart of the oil-rich Niger-Delta Region of Bayelsa State, the University which is 21 kilometers South of the State capital of Yenagoa, occupies an expanse of 200 hectares (494 acres) in the Ijaw town of Otuoke.

GENERAL ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
For all Science courses, at the federal university Otuoke the following UTME subject combination applies –English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, depending on the program of choice.
In addition, possession of five (5) O’ Level credit passes in relevant science subjects(including English Language and Mathematics) is required in not more than two sittings.
