 Dsust holds its 2nd Matriculation ceremony

The Delta state university of Science and Technology, Ozoro, Isoko-North Local Government, Friday 14th, April 2023 formally admitted its new intakes into various faculties of the Institution in a seemly, and colorful ceremony that climaxed in oath-taking by the matriculating students, as a normal practice in the academia. 

This UNIVERSITY which was formerly known as Ozoro Polytechnic was accredited as a UNIVERSITY in 2021, this conversation was done by the Delta state government.

In the speech, of the Vice-Chancellor, professor J.S Oboreh, to the students, said, “By the Matriculation oath, you have undertaken to subject yourselves to constituted authority and to abide by the code of conduct of the University. You should take it very seriously as any action in breach of the matriculation oath, could result in expulsion or rustication”. 

The Vice-Chancellor, who was much elated at the ceremony, thanked His Excellency, the state Governor, and senator, Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa for finding him worthy of appointment as pioneer Vice-Chancellor of the nascent Institution. While addressing the  students, he charged them to maintain a high level of discipline and commitment to excellence and added that Management is fully ready to assist them 

tackle their challenges while on campus. 

The ceremony was well attended by parents from all walks of life and the Nigerian Army Band from 63, Brigade’s Headquarters, Asaba, who added some spice to the procession segment of the ceremony.
